Reaching No.7 in the official UK album listings was seen by many as a disappointment for Ocean Colour Scene's sixth studio album. Nevertheless, the album has sold consistently well, quickly attaining 'gold' status. Originally to be called 'One Foot Square', the album was the first to be recorded away from the Moseley Shoals studio since Ocean Colour Scene's eponymous release in 1992. Although some mixing was performed at the band's Birmingham home, the bulk of recording took place at the Loco studios in north Wales, with finishing touches added at various London based studios.
