Interview with Chris Cradock - © www.oceancolourtheme.co.uk
As mentioned previously, getting my scoop on the tracklisting, meant that I had something I should not have had, and I could, consequently, get into serious trouble, fortunately for me, our favourite band is run by a very nice guy, Mr Chris Cradock.
It turns out I have got the first version Promotional CD to be made, which is very slightly different from the final Promo in that there was some additional mixing/finishing after my copy was produced. Chris has very kindly agreed to let me have a copy of the official promo when it is ready, and I will then be able to publish a review and post lyrics on this site, and yes, of course, it will still be the first review anywhere in the world!. If you need a hint of my initial thoughts “ ..The New Album is AMAZING.... ”
As there was so much information that came from this interview, I have split the interview and information into two parts, with the hot news today and the interview questions later this week, when I hope to bring your some more news.........

- The tour information will be posted on the official site on Sunday ( and links to all the places on this site on Monday )
- There is going to be a huge advertising campaign for the tour in the national papers and local radio
- There are two London dates and a new venue (never before used by O.C.S)!
- There is a going to be a 5 week European tour this year, starting in Spain, straight after the boys finish their UK tour, as Chris put it “....an excuse for a holiday, the lads will be knackered...”
- The tour is going to finish on the 15th of October NOT the 31st as previously posted. To fit all the dates in, the tour is starting earlier than posted as well, beginning on the 4th of September.

- The name of the first song on the album has changed from "I get too Much" to "I just Need Myself" and was previously titled "New One in A"
- There were 6 ideas for the new album title, including ‘Golden Gate Bridge’. The title being decided by the band
- ‘The Tunnel', 'St Cecilia', 'The Boxer' and 'Questions' didn’t make the final cut for the New Album, they may or may not be used for some of the B-Sides.
- The Photo shoot for the Album was completed a couple of Mondays ago in Bournemouth!
- There are to be two CD's released for the first Single ( the actual song is not disclosable ) There is a total of four B-sides across them ( one of them being “Questions” the first B-Side on CD2, people who went to the ‘Live on The Riverboat’ performance at Renfrew Ferry would have heard it there )
- The 7" Vinyl has another variation of one of the B-sides, making 5 B-Sides in total
- The single is going to be released on the the 30th of June ( not the 23rd as was previously announced )
- There are upto four singles going to be released from the new album.
- The quote about the album " ..its a fans album..." closely followed by "... It’s a bands album, other bands, will hear this and wish they had put it out..."
- There old label ( Universal ) is planning to put out an a 3 piece anthology with 42 Tracks on sometime this year with some of the 78 OCS Songs they have. Including 4 B-sides from the first 'Fontana' Album and four other tracks from that same album that did’nt make the cut.
- One quote of Chris’s stood out to me “....the new album is...a new era of old music...”, basically meaning it is a return to the things OCS do best.

- Chris Cradock has given my site "...The official thumbs up.... "
- Oscar is currently strengthening his back in preparation of the upcoming tour, As most of you will know, Oscar damaged his back when on holiday in 2001, He has been having twinges in the same area on his back, which incidentally, caused the cancellation of previous gigs
- There is a DVD going to be released in November with footage from one of the gigs in the upcoming tour plus lots of other interesting features
- OCS, always have the largest Bar Takings of any gig at the Brixton Academy!
